Americana
(Side control, with gi)

A Technique from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Courtesy bjjfighter.com

These techniques should only be practiced with the supervision of an experienced instructor.
Practicing the moves incorrectly could result in serious bodily injury or death.

I begin by controlling my opponent in Kesa Gatame (a variation on the side control).
I place my opponent in position for the lock by pressing down on his right arm at the wrist until his palm is facing up.
I then hook my opponent's wrist with my right leg.
Next I triangle my legs.
To complete the lock I pull my legs down and lift my hips.
